Enos 1

Enos 1: 1-14

just man................................................................righteous and well balanced
wrestle.................................................................a  spiritual conflict
sunk deep.................................................................while hunting, deeply impressed
forgiven and blessed.................................................Enos receives a spiritual forgiveness
faith.....................................................................has the power to make us "whole"
pour out soul.....................................................prayer with deep fervor
their diligence....................................................each is accountable for his own spiritual wellness
strugglings of Lamanites............................................what about the nonbelivers?
Nephites..................................................................as believers can fall
Lamanites.....................................................................may pass through the destructions of Nephites
in vain........................................................................any attempt is futile

Enos explains how his desire for himself enlarged to a love for the welfare of others.

Enos 1: 15-27

whatever we should ask.................................................we are promised answers to our prayers
bring forth.......................................................................Enos promised that records would not perish
thy fathers..................................................................his request is not unique.  Others the same.
I went forth...................................................................became a spiritual leader himself
Lamanites........................................................................a fallen people living as savages
stiffnecked, hard to understand..........................................Nephites difficult to work with,
wars.......................................................................predicted wars began and worsened
all days.........................................................................actively engaged all his life, to teach people
mansions.....................................................................Enos promised a place in heaven

Enos goes on from his personal conversion to a life of duty to others.

The short book shows the journey of a single man to remain positive and diligent in his labors.  He does what he can to reconcile his faith with the realities of his times.
